How Do I... Book An Appointment?
Appointments are offered during weekdays, between 9.00am and 11.30am and in the afternoon between 2.00pm and 5.30pm. A number of appointments can be pre-booked up to a week in advance and the remaining appointments are booked on the day.
Patients can see any doctor of their choice and the practice will endeavour to accommodate this. However patients who wish to be seen urgently might not be able to see a doctor of their choice, though we do not try to accommodate patients' wishes where possible.
When there are no appointments available the practice operates a triage system. Please ask at reception for more information.
How Do I... Obtain Telephone Advice?
If you wish to speak to your doctor on the telephone they are usually available at the end of their surgeries, but please tell the receptionist the nature of your call.
How Do I... Obtain A Home Visit?
Home visits are restricted to housebound patients. However, if your illness is such that you are unable to come to the surgery, details of your condition will be asked for and these will be passed to the doctor who will ascertain whether a home visit is required.
Please note that lack of transport is not a reason for a home visit.
District nurses will carry out home nursing to the housebound for those who require it.
How Do I... Obtain Test Results?
For results of tests or other similar enquiries, please telephone in person on 01634 720220 or call into the practice. Results will not be given to any other person unless a signed consent form has been recieved by the practice in advance.
It is the responsibillity of the patient to check the test result with the surgery.
